The most expensive wristwatch ever – the ‘Paul Newman’ Rolex Daytona

The auction hammer slammed down Thursday, October 26th after a 12-minute bidding war. The legendary actor, film director, producer and race car driver’s personal Rolex Daytona became the most expensive wristwatch ever. The one of a kind timepiece sold at auction for $17,752,500. Phillips auction conducted the sale of Paul Newman’s “Paul Newman” Rolex with a portion of the proceeds going to charities Newman was involved with. The Rolex Daytona Ref. 6239 known as the “ Paul Newman” – features a cream dial with the Brand’s iconic Crown emblem, three black subdials, and a tachymeter bezel. The movement a Valjoux.
